The election for members of the LAUSD Board of Education that was held on March 3, 2015, resulted in a run-off for Districts 3, 5 and 7. Dr. George McKenna ran unopposed in the election in District 1. Only 7.9% of eligible voters actually cast ballots in an election that can literally determine the direction of the second largest school district in the nation.
