UTLA members recently ratified the tentative collective bargaining agreement that was negotiated between UTLA and the District last month, and the Board of Education adopted it at their meeting on Tuesday, May, 12, 2015. The agreement is a three-year, $607 million contract that includes a 10.36 percent salary increase over several years, a multitier evaluation system, reduced class sizes in 8th and 9th grade English/language arts and mathematics classes, summer school and increased counseling services.
