On March 21, 2014, Dr. Judith Perez, AALA President, submitted Unit J’s initial bargaining proposals for 2014 salary and reopener negotiations to LAUSD Superintendent Dr. John Deasy and Board President Dr. Richard Vladovic. The current Unit J classified contract covers 2012 through 2015, and this year the contract provides for reopeners regarding salary and two other articles.
